Video Editing Software - Adobe Premieire Pro

Adobe Premiere Pro, produced by Adobe is a realtime, timeline based video editing software targeted at prosumer video editors. It is a rewritten version of their long standing Adobe Premiere software and was launched in 2003. It is often included as an OEM package with video editing cards like the Matrox RT.X100. Version 1.5, released in 2004, adds support for High-Definition Multimedia Interface content, new project management tools, and new filters. This product now includes support for HDV along with support for 24P footage (most commonly, footage from Panasonic's DVX-100 and Canon's XL2). Though originally available for the Macintosh, Adobe has abandoned the Mac version of Premiere due to competition from Apple's own Final Cut Pro.
An entry-level version known as Premiere Elements is also available for the nonprofessional market. (more)

Video Editing Software
One of the problems facing the developers of non-linear editing (NLE) software at the consumer end of the market is improving the application’s capabilities without making it too complicated.
